How does each work on aluminium?

Laser marking sheets are coated — black, blue, red or natural. A focused laser ablates the coloured coating to reveal bright aluminium underneath, giving a crisp, high-contrast mark with almost no depth. It's fast and perfect for text, logos, barcodes and serial numbers.

Laser engraving goes deeper, vaporising material to cut a recess into the surface. The result is tactile and rugged, which suits awards and heavy-duty industrial plates.
